HELIO O Series Owners

There is a new Fiberglass RV in town! It's the HELIO O series of RVs, made in Canada but sold here in the USA also. I recently purchased a HELIO O3 model this month in Salem, OR. I live in Seattle, WA. It's a wonderful trailer! I formerly owned a BURRO but had to sell it when I moved from New Mexico to Seattle. I was looking for a newer, more modern Fiberglass RV and did a lot of shopping. I liked the Armadillo (also Canadian made) but decided upon a HELIO. It's not yet listed in the list of Manufacturers. If you want to check them out the link to their website is HELIORV.COM

If there are other HELIO owners out there please contact me so we can start sharing information and helpful tips! I also started a Facebook page for HELIO owners and admirers. Just search FB for HELIO. I really enjoy this forum.

At least two other owners have posted here. A “Site Search/Google” (bottom of the search menu) should turn them up.

Congratulations on your new trailer!

From the pics it looks to be constructed from fiberglass panels and not as a molded fiberglass. Just sayin'.

We had that discussion in one of the earlier threads, and apparently it is molded. IIRC it’s a molded sandwich akin to Snoozy. My eyes were fooled at first, too, due to the relatively sharp corners and resemblance to R-Pods.

The seam is welded fiberglass so there is no way for water to leak. They also incorporate the lights into the mold of the plastic so they can't leak around the extrusions. The floor is encased in fiberglass and is the same material used on exterior decking so standing water won't even penetrate. Super high quality cabinetry and aircraft style drawers and hinges. Highest quality I've seen. I've owned a CASITA and a BURRO in the past and a Winnebago. This is by far the highest quality rig I've ever owned. Time will tell I suppose.
