A good investment is a multi tester for AC/DC equipment, purchase it, do some reading learn how to use it. I have a Klein from Home Depot I’ve had for years.
Never lose the instruction Manuel! I have this one, they also have lower priced ones. You can use on much more than your camper as I do.

The 6$ Harbor Freight meter is fine for normal RV testing and not much of a loss when stolen on the road.
