My first time out with Parkliner and the rear tank got full and over flowed up and out of the tank on too ground? Is this normal or do i have a leak?

You did not say whether you were boon-docking or at a camp ground with full hookup. Either way you should know the capacity of your black water tank and know when to dump at a full hookup or how many times you can flush when there is no hookup, without getting into trouble. And no, that is not normal.

I am hoping you started on your trip with an empty tank to begin with.

yes it was empty whats strange is that i have a feeling that the black and grey water go into same tank under bed side and that the front tank is strictly from shower? this is a new camper and first time out with it.

I do not think that your black & grey water would ever be mixed into one tank. Just not sanitary.

I have a Scamp 13, so when I am camping with a full hookup, I generally dump and back flush my black water every 2 to 3 days, just to be on the safe side. I know that at times my grey water tank will overflow if I forget to dump that every 2 days, its easy to do since I have my waste hose connected to the grey water tank normally. but I do tend to keep the gate valve closed on the grey water tank exit port. Don't want any fumes backing up into my camper.

Someone said that your camper had a cassette unit for the toilet, if so you would have to pull the cassette out and take it to the dump station to get rid of your black waste. Don't know if you would be allowed to do that at your campsite location.

This is the post on that, for some reason I cannot find to post listed in your thread. So you might want to check out that possibility.

Parkliners don't have blackwater tanks they have cassette toilets sounds like it's just overfull.

Parkliners do have a black water tank (don’t know the capacity) , but Lil Snoozy’s have a cassette toilet as an option.

Hi Todd, l have the same trailer and l am very up on this. It is the gray tank in rear. If you lift up rear bench boards up, you will see were the fluids flow in. Door side or sink side is were the sink drains into tank. This flexible pipe may have popped out. On my trailer it is a very tight fit though the floor into tank. The other side has shower, and air vent to roof. It might be this side, but would not bet on it. Hope this helps.

So, asking to clarify as I just picked up a new Parkliner and the walkthrough tech wasn't super clear on the tanks. It was the only one they had on the lot and I suspect the first one they've ever had.

The rear tank is grey water only and the front tank is black water only? I ask because only the rear tank is labeled for dumping on the outside.

What is the toggle switch on the shower wall for, the one that sounds like a pump in the shower drain when you turn it on?

Hi ChetC, I think your black water tank at front of trailer is missing sticker. There’s a dump valve there, right? The toggle switch is for shower drain pump. If you let shower water get to high on floor, you may have small amount of shower water leak between toilet and floor. It will look like black tank leaking, but it is not.

Thank you for the clarification and heads up about the “leak” aspect of the shower.

Yes, there is a front dump as well but being unlabeled... It seemed strange that the shower water is pumped back to the rear tank when there’s a tank right there so I thought perhaps the black water was pumped as well. The bilge pump, for lack of a better term, sounded fairly aggressive so I thought perhaps it had a trash compactor aspect and simply pumped everything from the front holding tank.

So what’s interesting is I think you are exactly right on this tank thing but the rear tank has a sticker that says waste water and septic tank. I think it was labeled incorrectly. The other issue I have is when I take a shower and use pump it is leaking at top of front tank for some reason. I am thinking of dropping the front tank and see where it is coming out. Maybe the pump has a leak?

Hi Todd, We have had water leak when I let shower water get deep. I think toilet to floor just doesn’t seal well, maybe so it can be moved for service? The other maybe shower water leak could be hose connection to shower drain pump. As you face bathroom, you will see a panel to lower left. It has four square drive screws that get removed to get to pump. Water could run down this panel into pump area and leak out. There is opening over black tank in this compartment, lose hose clamps or water running down panel could find way out over black tank.If you fill shower drain ,run pump and look at hose connection you may see leak? Remember that two year warranty!

ethan thank you so much for that tip so i took panel off and sure enuff the hose coming out of pump was leaking. i recut tubing and still leaking so i used some pipe dope to fuse and will let you know how that works. toilet valve is broken at end point where lever pushes valve obviously this was never tested by manufacturer or my dealer ugh. i have ordered another valve. I will update after valve and a true shower is taken your tip saved me from a lot of work possibly as i was gonna drop the tank next hopefully this does the trick next is to determine black and grey tanks

Yes, mine is titled as a 2019. I am not sure exactly when in 2018 it was manufactured and I am somewhat certain that it spent some time parked at the Little Guy factory in Somerset, PA as I saw one in their lot when taking my former MAX back for repairs last fall. I purchased it from a dealer located about an hour from Somerset after repeated issues with the MAX led to a trade.
