High Quality Smoke Detector for TT?

Our 2007 21' Bigfoot came with a Kiddie smoke detector and since it was mounted about 4' from the stove, it goes off all of the time (toast in the morning can set it off). Can anyone recommend a good replacement smoke detector (we already have two CO2 ones)?

I thought of switching to a photoelectric one since it appears to be less sensitive to smoke from everyday cooking. Or maybe moving the smoke detector to the rear corner of the bedroom (~10' from the stove + ~5-6' from the shower). Any thoughts on either of these options?

Thank you for your help!

Esther

I have no preference for brand or type, and have found all I have had work the same regardless. Detectors need to be mounted according to manufacturer directions -- usually so many inches from the ceiling, heat sources, drafts, etc. -- otherwise you will get false alarms or not detect actual danger. You should have received a Kiddie pamphlet with your other Bigfoot documents; or you can Google for the info.
