If you look closer, you'll see that I did mounted the Quiet Hitch clamp so that it snugs the ball mount bar down (normal position under load). I just chose to have the threads pointed up to make it easier to see the threads and tighten the nuts while standing. It would be the same force if you rotated the clamp 180 degrees, but then the threads would be under the hitch, pointed down away from you, and you'd have to almost get down on your knees to tighten the nuts. It's not my knees I'm worried about, it's getting back up off my knees once down there that I try to avoid if possible....
