I am getting ready to fix the alignment of the door on my 1975 Trillium
1300. There are many threads on the hinges that I will go thru. What I noticed, while studying the problem, was an additional issue of the door coming apart on the seam by the hinges.
What does this group think about spraying foam down inside that crack, wait till it starts expanding out, then use a series of clamps to hold it. The door is hollow to finish expanding in and I will only spray a minimum amount. I think it will hold the two parts of the door together nicely while allowing some flexing. If you think it is not a good idea then how would you deal with it? And how should I clean the inner surface for good bond? I'm thinking it is good enough for the foam. Thanks for your thoughts.
