I have a Honda Element and am thinking of buying a Scamp. Did you have to mount a heavy duty hitch? How well does it pull it?

Hi,
We love our Element-Scamp combo!
We bought a "hidden hitch" online, and my husband installed it himself...said it was easy!
I think it was hitchesonline.com. They make special hitches for lots of different cars. Our Scamp is only 1000 lbs, so we got a class I. Works great.

There are several discussions on towing with an Element. Do a search and check them out!

The short answer is that an Element tows a 13' fiberglass travel very well. And we got our 2" hitch from UHaul and they installed it!
