Hot water tank

Hi there. I'm a newbie to this group and later today I'm going to look at a used 1981 17' Bigfoot trailer. In the ad, it mentions that there is no HWT which I assume is the hot water tank. The seller is asking $4500 obo. If everything else checks out fine, does this seem like a reasonable price even with a non functioning hot water tank? What usually goes on a tank? Easy fixes? I've downloaded the used fibreglass rv checklist and plan to take it with me. Any info is greatly appreciated.

That would be a little odd in a Bigfoot.

I would suggest its more probable that it has been removed or is not working.

I'm with Carol on this one. If it was a Lil' Foot then I'd be more inclined to believe one had never been installed. But the 17' is a FSC trailer, and that means a hot water heater too. IMHO.

I stand corrected, have seen a few Bigfoots, but never been in one. Always something to learn here.

Not sure you need to stand corrected Bob, we will have to wait and see what the OP finds when they go and see the trailer.

My comment was simply bases on the fact that Bigfoots tended to come loaded and with few items being optional.
