how does one remove a window operator:surfside

I have to replace a window crank on my 1977 surfside, but I have removed the crank on the inside and the two screw of the operator, but still can not figure out how to remove it with out bending the sh... out of the bar that fits into it. any suggestions??

I read it all and am surprised you had that info so fast and at hand. I will go out and look at the window now, not too sure if I want to cut anything just yet, but will look. actually thinking of selling my trailer for a larger one, maybe 17 footer.
