how remove black water tank 82 Casita

Im replacing the plywood in my sons Casita (1982) and I cant see an easy way to release the black water tank so I can remove it. Anyone have experience with this?? I removed the valve, but whats left doesnt want to budge.

No Help?

I'm here looking for help also. Floor around my black tank drain is leaking. I can't use the toilet. The valve for the black tank was broke when I bought this thing and I think when it got hit, the black tank got broke. I'm going awaynext week. When I get back I'm going to start tearing the toilet apart. I'll get back to you then.

A phone call to Casita may give you an answer. Can't say I've read of anyone doing this on a Casita which may be why there were no reply's .

I don't have a Casita but in my Sunrader bathroom the top section of the toilet drain flange screwed into the fitting that was underneath the fiberglass. It was not just stuck together with caulking, it was actually two pieces which threaded into each other. It might be worth a try turning the top section counter clockwise to see if it gives a bit. If it is threaded that would explain why you can't pry it apart from underneath.

Different look

Interesting how your Casita has a step up. Mine has a tank you can see bolted into the floor. The screws that hold it down are covered in tons of caulk, but they're there. Yours look like it's molded into the egg. Like an integral part.

I never posted a picture here before. See how it goes.
