Hello all.
I've just bought a 73 Boler.
It doesn't have a lock on the door.
In fact, it just has a hook and latch!! lol
Living in Toronto, I need to be able to lock the camper.
How do other Boler's lock?
What do I need to do? Does anyone use padlocks?
Thanks
Sue!

You can buy a new lock and handle for your boler and they are relatively inexpensive. Your model year had the basic twist handle lock with key. You can buy the lock and mechanism from "faucher"

I have the same problem as Susan and have checked all the local RV stores around Medicine Hat, they dont seem to be too interested in trying to find a lock for me. does " faucher " have a website.

Hi: The "T" handle lock and inside handle are available from Scamp Trailers. They still use them on their trailers!!!

Hi, Judging from your pic you have a lock on your Boler door....does the handle not return to the lock position?....does the key not work?.....do you want to lock it from the inside? ... ....Benny

Faucher does not have a website as far as i know but i have a catalog at work and will find the handle and mechanism with part # and phone number if interested. We deal with another company (not faucher)and they sell the handles and mechanism as well IIRC.I will thumb through that catalog as well. Their prices are alot better than faucher.

You can get replacement rv handles with lock/keys at Canadian Tire. Most will have a couple of styles.

If that is all you are looking for, any locksmith or office furniture place should be able to help you out. I am pretty sure many filing cabinets will have this type of tumbler. As others have said a garage door handle. most times you can pop the tumblers out of them.

Thanks for the reply Roy, I done a search on filling cabinet locks, nothing like what I am looking for, also looked at garage door handles, if you can guarentee me that the lock set inside is the same I will buy one and pull it apart, I work as a carpenter and we have furniture locks in the shop, again nothing like I need, I guess its back to the drawing board, thanks again............................John

I don't know if this helps or not.
While on a trip our door lock gave up and I was able to find this barrel lock at a CTC store fore $2.50. With a few tools we carried I was able to install it while in camp. A simple latch on the inside can lock the trailer at night.
