How to reglue the elephant hide?

My 1977 Trillium 1300 has some loose elephant hide in the upper corner, above the dinette. Ideally I would like to inject some glue that I could smear around through the elephant hide and then press it into the corner and let it set over 24hrs or so.

Any ideas?

I have seen that thread, but I was hoping that there was some glue that I could inject into the bubble. I did not want to peel back the ensolite, but it looks like that is what I will have to do.

How about contact cement injected using a syringe? Lee Valley sells syringes for that purpose. Raz

I did not have any "sag" last year, but noticed the ensolite had come away from the corner when I opened her up in the spring. No water there so not sure why, but curious about a fix. That being said, it is not so bad that I would pull back and re-glue. My ensolite is in excellent shape and I have a feeling if I start messing with it, I won't be happy with the end result. Good luck with yours.

Membership has it's privileges.

I have it coming off in a few places. The inside of the upper kitchen cabinet is the one which is easiest to fix, and the one I am least concerned with.

What I find very interesting is that I can find no evidence of the contact cement that I know was there. Where did it go? Does it evaporate?

I am sure that the reason that it separates is age related. It does seem to be made worse by water exposure. Freezing?

If so, those of us with way old trailers can expect to have to deal with this issue.

After thirty plus years, it must just break down and disintegrate. Who knows. I just hope no more comes away
