How to repair RV Fiberglass damage

Ok yes I need to pay better attention when I back up (jack knifed). I am trying to figure out if this is something I can do or if I need a professional to do it. I am pretty handy (in the construction trade and built my own house, just older now). As you can see from picture it is a crack, not necessarily crack (it is all the way broken through). So does this look like something a newbie fiberglass repair guy can tackle or smarter to get a professional? If something I can do, anyone have step by step (with pictures) how to do this or a video to share? All videos I have seen do not really fit my application, either a very small crack that is more like a scratch or a big hole. Any help/replies appreciated.

Hey Boyd, yes, with your experience you can handle it. Just start and when your done it will be perfect.

I had a good experience using the Marine Tex fiberglass repair resin. I have a thread that showed my before and after and lots of discussion about repair options as well. Mine damage was worse and the repair came out pretty good.

just remember that working time with the resin is short!
