How to replace pumbing vents on a Casita

The left side plumbing vent (driver's side) on our 2011 Casita has a broken cap. It's solely due to UV, it wasn't hit. And only the cap is broken into small pieces, the stem, so to speak, is still in good shape.

Looking at it from the roof, it's attached with rivets, but inside the bathroom, nothing shows through. I'm assuming that means that it's held in solely by blind rivets. I am also assuming that there's a space between the inner and outer shells.
We bought a new one, hoping that the cap was removable, but no. So it seems we have to replace the entire assembly.
Which we are loathe to do, we don't want any more holes in the roof than are already there and caulked.
Has anyone had any experience in replacing the entire assembly?

Camco 40034 is a replacement cap that clips into the vent pipe. I used one on our Casita. Amazon has it.

Vent

Little House Customs sells a replacement vent, description below. Replacement is straight forward.

BLACK AND GRAY VENT CAPS

We have looked at all of them and finally settled on this cap as the one to use! It does not turn yellow or get brittle like your original. As usual, we include rivets and instructions. The rivet pattern matches most Casitas

I found the replacement caps on eTrailer. THey're a good bunch to deal with. They even included a video on how to replace the caps. It's easy. We were afraid we'd have to replace the entire unit but no.......the caps just come off with a little bit of prying.

I replaced mine some years ago with the kit from Little House Customs. I think all the rivet holes lined up. There is no double hull exactly. The bathroom has its own fiberglass walls on top of the shell, you're not looking at the inside of the outside in the bathroom. Yes, there is a gap in between and that's why you don't see the rivets.

Late to the party Meadowlark...we just got back from trip. I replaced both caps with these several years ago....so easy....takes only minutes and inexpensive. Just break off old caps....clean up vent pipe and install. Good luck...see ya.
