How to ship a camper cross country

Hi friends. We need to get a camper from west coast to east coast but have no tv to drive it. Has anyone shipped a camper? What company would you recommend? Any idea on cost?

Thank you for your help. J

Try Uship. Also ask at a RV dealer. Friends of ours just bought a big 5th wheel camper in SC and had it shipped up here to NY. The dealer had a couple haulers they used, one was in Texas making a delivery at the time so some will do long distance delivery. Several years ago I had a pickup shipped from Arizona to NY. Did it through a broker in CA at a cost of $1000

A Montana couple bought my 91 Scamp a few years back. They hired a company to transport it from Wisconsin. I strongly suggested they insist on a flatbed trailer to carry the Scamp. Later a couple showed up with a one ton pickup and no flatbed. They bragged to me how fast they could make the trip. Still it was no longer my Scamp and the buyers hired these folks, not me. I heard later that one of the Scamp's new tires blew out on the trip. I got the impression that the buyers were not satisfied with the Scamp or the transport, though the price paid would be quite a bargain in today's market. I don't think I would buy an RV unless I could pick it up myself.

Best Summer all, john

U-ship is a load broker - I've used them maybe a dozen times to ship trailers and tractors. I don't always go for the low bid; I check the background, credentials, and reports from customers for a "best fit", and also prefer a trailer be put on a flatbed.

This sounds like a start of a new thread, having no relationship to shipping a Scamp. Nevertheless it could be a kink in the drain hose, somewhere between the sink trap and the tank, or it could be a mud wasp plug (or a kink as well) in the vent hose. If it is the vent hose, it would start and then slow and stop as the air pressure increases. Since you already plunged it, it should not be any solids blocking the drain.
