Hydroflame BRC 10 gravity furnace fan motor replacement

Hey guys,

I managed to dig up a few posts on my hydroflame BRC10 furnace. Mine came with the optional fan addon, and the motor is expremely rattly and noisy. I would love to replace it with a low speed low noise alternative and after digging online, I am not really sure what I should replace it with.

The furnace operates fine without the fan, but the heat is circulated much better with it running. I have had a little rechargable fan against the grill in the meantime which works great but I want to fix in built in fan. I have attached some photos.

Could anyone point me in the right direction of what motor type I should be looking for.

Thanks!

Important details of an electric motor:
Power, in either amps or hp, (I'm assuming that the supply voltage is 12VDC)
Shaft diameter and length (important if you plan to use the existing fan blade.
Speed (RPM)

With that information, look at this link:
https://www.amazon.com/12v-dc-motor/s?k=12v+dc+motor

Or call your local electronics shop. They will point you in the right direction. Where in Alberta are you? If you're in Calgary, this place may be of interest to you:

I’m a man of many options.

You might also try rebuilding the motor that you have. It looks like it is meant to be serviced. New bearings and brushes and it will be as good as new, ish. I can't read the whole brand name, but if it is Pittman, they are still makeing motors:

They may also sell parts for that motor, or that motor.

Yet another option:
Put a heat powered fan on your furnace. I have this one:

What David said. Take it apart, clean, lube and reassemble. It may require new brushes if it is that kind of motor. Take it apart and post the dissembled pictures.
