Can anyone tell me what year and model I have. The man I bought it off of said it was a 1972.
Looking at different pictures, I don't know for sure what I have

I had a 73 Hunter Compact II. Just like the one in the link. (Not my trailer) Davey Joe's Trailer :: Compact II by Hunter
The front picture shows 3 tags near the frame rail. The drivers side tag had the S/N and year. My trailers front window was like the one pictured with a shield. My rims were 4x4 standard rims. Yours has Dexter wheels which were on older trailers. Yours very well could be an earlier production model 1972. I don't think I found any other production data on the trailer. I don't think mine had the little bumps by the front window like yours.

Did you get a title when you bought it? 1972 sounds plausible.

Yes, he said this was the title he was giving when he purchase it. He had it for 6 years. I have already licence it and didn't have a problem with the title.
I just keep seeing campers of that model that look different than mine. I'm yet to see one with the ribs on the front of it like mine has.
Wish they had more information on the factory spec.

Actual VIN#s did not come to travel trailers until the early '80s.
so serial numbers may or may not contain enough info to answer your question.
Here is a trailer which I had and it was simply titled as a "Hunter" and if I recall it claimed to be a 1973. Notice it has no ribs on the front and the window is different. Of course these were generally single proprietor businesses prone to running changes without documentation. Even car manufacturers have anomalies from days of yore.
It could even be that these trailers were made by various builders on a sort of loose franchise sort of arrangement, who then made minor modifications??
I like the ribs, but wonder about no stone guard to keep the window dry when under way.
