Installing A/C?

Hi all,
I'm looking at used, small fiberglass trailers including the HC1. I noticed some do not have the A/C installed which is a deal breaker for me. I must have A/C where I live. Has anyone had an A/C installed in a used HC1 or similar camper? Would you feel comfortable letting a regular RV mechanic install? Thanks for any insight!

First, look at the roof. Is it curved? Is there already a vent up there? If not, considering the weight and no flat surface, if the ceiling isn't reinforced no ac is going to work. How would ac get power if there's no wiring? If vent is a passive opening, to replace it with a Maxifan does not address the power needed. Your best move might be a small window fan and cross ventilation.

Lots of people install window air conditioners instead of the roof-mounted units. I wouldn't be able to get in my garage with a roof-mounted unit on top. Here's how I did mine years ago.
