...I have had a Walmart glass mirror screwed to my Scamp wet bath door for a few thousand miles. It is a light duty wood frame w/card board back and I screwed the frame to the door.

A glass shop turned me on to a supplier that custom cut to spec for us in Phoenix AZ, perhaps a local shop in your area could do the same for you.

My first instinct is to not have a glass mirror because of the possibility of broken glass. It appears as if glass mirrors are used in our little trailers. I will check with a local glass shop. Has anyone experienced a broken mirror?

I did find a few sources on the internet for acrylic mirrors cut to size but prices seem rather high. That might be what it takes to get a custom size mirror though.

I have 2 glass mirrors in my trillium, they've been there a long time, one on each side of the bathroom door, and, I just remembered one on the medicine cabinet door

IKEA has a plastic mirror in their children’s area but there will be a bit of distortion if you bend it

Many moons ago I experimented with making a light weight mirror using a foam board and mylar. Wrapped the foam in the mylar and secured it in the back. (these days I would probably use vhb tape for strengh). Then go to the front and heat the mylar with a heat gun or hair dryer. The mylar I used would shrink tight and make a light weight, very reflective mirror that could be mounted anywhere. Easy to make the size and shape you want.


Might be worth a try.

this one is from WalMart about 18 years ago.
It is thicker glass than the cheap door mirrors and has a solid oak frame.
I mounted it with screws into the frame from the back side of the door.
Even used snap caps so it looks stock.
Towed innumerable miles and stayed innumerable nights with it.
Another plus is that it is thick enough to give a good reflection without warp.

Attachment 146747Any competent residential glass shop can cut you a plexiglass mirror to your specifications. Mine is not framed and held in place since 2009 with doubles-sided tape. Make sure when you place it that light falls on the subject or you'll be installing lights too.

I purchased two mirrors on Ebay and they have worked fine. They are very light weight and I mounted them on both sides of the bathroom door with double sided tape.

sadly yes, I have yet to find one that makes me thinner, younger or less bald

I get my hair cut at the "beauty shop" next door. She cuts men's hair too. I keep complaining about that shiny spot on the back of my head every time she give me the mirror and swings me around to look back there. She never glues any of the hair she has cut off onto that shiny spot! But at 75+ years, I should not complain, cause I still have brown hair, well mostly brown!

I have asked my hair cutter who's grey hair is on the floor. And accused her of showing me someone elses shiney head in the mirror.

The lavatories in airliners all use Plexiglas mirrors.

We went a slightly different route. We bought a box of twelve square (I think they're 12"X 12") 'bathroom mirror tiles" from the bath section at Home Depot. We glued them to the door to the bathroom in our 2011 Casita SD. Three tiles was plenty. After several years and sometimes traversing rough roads, they're still tight as ticks on the door (fingers crossed).
