Jalousie Window Crank for Scamp 1982

Anyone know where we can get a new crank for the passenger side dinette jalousie window for our 1982 13 foot scamp? The window will crank out and stay open, but it no longer "locks down" and stays closed, which means when we are towing or the wind is blowing, the panes lift up. We solved the problem by taping the window shut while in transit all last season, but I'd like to fix it.

We had it in to our trailer place yesterday for a spring check up; bearings, check propane lines, battery, electrical, etc., and they are looking for a replacement part. However, even the on line vintage trailer supply place doesn't carry one that fits (the boler one they advertise, would not quite fit- although he did say for $8 it might be worth buying it to see if we could force fit it. Thoughts on that?) He also has a call in to Scamp to see if they have anything, but thought I'd see if anyone here knows any other sources.

If we can't find one, we'll keep doing what we are doing, but I would like to eventually get it fixed. As a side note, we got lots of compliments about how good of shape our little scamp is in and several people commented on how deceptively roomy it is inside. That's always fun Also, we love our trailer place, so if anyone in the Denver/Parker area is looking for a solid place to have trailer things done, let me know.

I got a window operator for our vintage teardrop at our local Ace hardware store. Wasn't an exact match, but works

Hmm...This could work to. For the cost, I may order a selection of parts, some from Strybuc, some from Vintage Trailer. Trial and error may find one that works. THANK YOU.
