Keeping an eye on stuff, while you step away

Have you ever tried one of those game/trail cameras that capture wildlife pictures? They are an inexpensive way to keep an eye on your campsite. I still wouldn't leave the family jewels on the picnic table, but stash a camera in your rv to keep an eye on "wildlife" outside. They start around $40-50. I've had good luck with several from Primos. They are the size of paperback books.

Without getting into the inevitable privacy issues, I agree those cameras are great. My friend had a big old Doug Fir on his property blow down in a storm. It was right near the road. He noticed some of it was disappearing...So he set up a game camera and caught a neighbor pulling up and loading up rounds. He put a quick end to that

It was a nice old tree. He's got some serious large chunks he's going to make huge chairs out of for sitting around the fire pit.

But there are all sorts of cool uses for those cameras.
