Kings Highway 1978

I bought a 27' kings highway with a rear bath. The owner has passed so I'm on my own with no help. No nothing about this vintage motor home. I'm unable to find the propane fill location or the tank or tanks. So I'm here looking for help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum, but I fear that you will get minimal help here. This forum focuses on molded fiberglass towable trailers although some of us have had experience with other types and styles of RVs. Our propane tanks are typically removable and located on the tongue.

The good news is that I may be able to help with your question or at least tell you where to look. You probably have a permanently mounted tank located under the floor. Based on my experience, it is probably on the curb side. Look for a hatch that does not have locks because quick access is sometimes needed for shutoff.

Hope this helps get you started. Enjoy your adventure.

I remember when the Kings Highway came out and I wanted one so badly. A very nice rig for it's day and had a big price tag. Way out of our reach so we just wished. I think he is right in that you will find the tank tucked up underneath on the curb side. Nice not to have to remove it for refill. Good luck with your KH. I am jealous. Along with that time line, we wanted one of the sleek looking GMC motorhomes. Still would like to have one. Hope I didn't hi-jack your post. It's just been a long time since I have any mention of the KH.
