We picked up our LilSnoozy a year ago 12/01/16 and have been camping a LOT since then. One thing is that we towed with our 4 cats inside and had the
windows somewhat open for air flow. I did find after driving through a few rainstorms that the towels and sheets in the cupboards underneath the window were damp, to down right wet. So we started stopped whenever it started to sprinkle to run put up the
windows. We still had damp in the stuff stored on those shelves. I thought that it was we weren't shutting the
windows promptly enough.
We stored the camper outside for a couple weeks and I emptied one of the two shelves. Came back for a little camping in November and found the bottom shelf stuff sopping wet. Washed with Listerine to kill the mildew and dried off and put damprid on the bottom shelf to try to pull the moisture out. When we got back from November camping stored it again (outside storage) made sure ALL the windows were tight closed.
When we picked it up Tuesday to pack for our trip which started yesterday I washed the camper with low pressure hose and dish soap and backing soda. Checked inside and found the one towel on the bottom shelf slightly damp. And I eyeballed the track of the water down the inside wall of the
fiberglass shell.
DH thinks there is a link from our tiny window over the bed, despite the lack of slanting or horizontal drip trails.
I think there is a weak place in the belly band letting water in. The track starts about at the height of the belly band and continues down from there.
OK we may need to obtain flex seal or eternal bond tape for redoing the belly band on the outside. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
