Hello all, this concerns the happijack powered by the unhappy electric motor for the up-down function. I had one making a squalling noise like it was in its death throes. Had seen where someone had said to spray WD-40 down the splined end of the shaft to lube the bushings/bearings with the motor standing vertical. Haha. That seal at the splined end of the motor does its job fairly well. It was over the coarse of 5 days this little operation took. I stood the motor on its bottom end, splined end up. I then took silicon with the caulking gun and built up a dam onto and around the end of the motor encircling the seal and shaft, a 360 degree dam that would hold about 1/4" deep of WD-40 I let it set overnight. The next day I filled up that area with WD-40. It would very, very slowly seep down the shaft getting by the seal and lubricating the shaft. I would put more WD-40 in for the next 4 nights, top it off. Fifth day I then jumped the motor to a 12 volt
battery. Perfect. No more squaller. Ran like a brand new unit. Just had to apply a little good ole American ingenuity! I had a picture but it was said to be invalid which is why I attempted to be as descriptive as I could. Didn't like my HEIC file.
