Look for the Simple Solution First

Oh yeh, it's the regulator. Gotta be the regulator. HAS to be the regulator.

Wasn't the regulator. *sigh*

$60 and hassles later, a new regulator between the dual tanks, and the &^*^*(^*^( water heater and 'fridge STILL don't work. Go read the manual. Yes. I am a geek. I do support. I ALWAYS say "Read the manual." Bad Gary.

More or less "A weak or smokey flame in the heater may mean an obstruction in the heating tube..." OK. Move the air flow gizmo out of the way and run a pipe brush into the pipe. Reset the gizmo. Light. WWWWOOOOSSSSHHHH! Ah, um, uh... guess the pipe was obstructed.

Go over to the 'fridge. The thing won't light. Run pipe cleaner into gas tube. Light. Cheerful little flame. Guess THAT pipe was obstructed too.

The moral? Look for the SIMPLE stuff before spending money.

I noticed when I get propane in Canada the exhaust seems to have more particulates - at least the exhaust pipe area seems to have more carbon (black stuff) deposits on the outside grills............noticed your location is Minnesota.

Why do I hear Karl Childers (from Sling Blade) saying "Ain't got no gas in it!"

LOL you may not be aware but if you buy in the US it could be Canadian propane as propane produced in Canada is exported into the USA. Here is an image of the pipe lines.
