Hi everyone,

I'm painting my Compact Jr and find that the drip cap is pretty beat-up. It measures to be a 29" one and I can only find 28" (too small to let the door open?) and 30". So do I need the 28" and bend it to let the door open or a 30" and bend it a lot to get it to fit? Or try to repair the beat-up one?

thanks,
Sharyl

ps-I'll post photos of the paint job when it's all done.

Sharyl, according to this website: Go-RV.com RV On-Line Catalog, you need to measure the length from INSIDE the curve. Are you doing that?

BTW: The link above has all kinds of sizes of drip caps.

Yes, the inside to inside is 29" and the outside to outside is a 29 3/4". It looks like they had to bend the ends in to get it to fit. The Go-RV place has a 28" and a 30" and I'm thinking it is the 30" one that is bent a bit. Any ideas on what to use to replace the trim on the lid with? The stuff at the RV and Boat places looks small.

thanks,
Sharyl

Since it looks like I will prob order some longer ones for Harry, I'll check on your length day after tommorrow as well. (going to look for more stealth camping spots tommorrow, as I am cheap- don't like to pay, and don't like crowded camp grounds) Larry
