I got a bag awning from Marti's Awnings. I like it because you can mount the rail (I used a Keder rail) so it seals to the camper and rain doesn't run down the side. The only thing I don't like about this awning is that it takes to people to put up. One person needs to pull the awning into the rail, and the other guides the back side of the awning so it doesn't stick when going into the rail. Otherwise it's great.

Here's a pair of solutions to the exercise of inserting the awning fabric into the keder rail:

New awning and Dometic screen room.

Here's my new awning from a seller on Etsy (SewCountryAwnings) -- came out nice. I also have a nearly-new 7' wide at the rail Dometic Cabana screen room/awning that is also very nice, but a bit too tall for my Scamp, so I'm selling it if you're interested. (Photo shows it on a pop up, but it's a bag-type awning that will work on any trailer with a rail.) Hopefully I was able to attach both photos to this post.

Just send Arturo there an email, and he will gladly give you a quote. I really like the one I installed on my daughter's trailer, and so does she, very light and easy to use.

We have a variety of shade options. We have an awning attached to the roof rack on my 4Runner and then also use a 12' tarp tent with poles. Actually, someone on here suggested the tarp tent after I found these really cool tarp/awing things from Scamp Korea. I've found it really useful to not be limited by having to use a track on the trailer. We can move the tarp tent around to wherever we need it, drop corners as the sun sets, etc.

We have almost identical Trillium to this and are looking at shady boy awning…2 questions if you can please…
1. Are they still happy with the awning after using it for a while?
2. How did you determine the strongest place to mount it?

Thanks…looks really great!

My daughter uses it a lot and are real happy with it.

I determined the location by how it deployed at that location. I used big washer on the inside for strength.
