Looking for table ideas

So I’m trying to help out a friend (long distance )that has a 13’ scamp ( be says it is a casita patriot..so not totally sure)

We would like to keep the bed made up 100% of the time... but want to add some kind of table thingy

They usually cook and eat outside but on occasion during inclement weather they would like to be able to sit inside to eat/read etc

They would like some kind of table setup.... my suggestion was a couple of folding TV trays and sit on the bed.... they didn’t like that idea

.....however they were thinking of something else.... maybe a table that folds either up or down from bathroom door ???

Or something that attaches to sink cabinet ???

Does anyone have any ideas
I’m stumped

I even suggested upgrading to a 16’ scamp with side dinette

Not sure of the floor plan.

We have a casita with twin beds that are enlarged to 30 inches wide.. For a table we made a top that folds lengthwise to 1/3 the deployed size. The legs are those steel tubes that fit into sockets inset into the floor and the underside of the table. We sit on the beds.

It takes about 20 seconds to set up. We store the legs in a used fold-up chair bag along with the folded table top alongside the bed - doesn't get in the way at all.

Our previous 13 foot captain had a nice eating area at the end opposite the bed but twin beds and a bathroom are even nicer😁

When I bought my current Escape 19 it had a clever folding table. Didn't meet my needs so restored the original. However, still have that folding table (images attached). Just found the mechanism on their website. You could attach any shaped table top to this device. It folds nearly flat. Might be a good solution. https://millermfgcorp.com/special-projects/

Alan,

You need a vertical wall for the mounting plate.
There are so many equipment/configuration variations that it would be hard to say without seeing some pix of the interior.

We have one in our front sofa Scamp 16 Deluxe and it has worked out pretty well.
It was just an idea.

And if its just a thin fiberglass bench wall, then it must be well reinforced.

We, too, have a 13' Scamp in which we keep the bed set up. Occasionally, we have a meal indoors (usually breakfast) and find that we can each balance a small "cafeteria" tray* on our laps. Balancing beverages becomes a bit problematic so we just use the tray for eating and drink our beverage before or after the meal so we don't have to juggle the drink. Our setup includes the bed, which we use as one seat and the couch (by the gravel guard) as the other seat. (Sometimes we both sit on the couch) As a result, we can use the kitchen counter as a ledge for our beverages.

*We purchased the trays at a restaurant supply house and used double-stick tape to attach that "rubberized" shelf liner on the bed of the tray to keep plates from sliding. Another idea...You could get those divided plates with(or without) lids to serve your food. https://www.amazon.com/Portion-Plate.../dp/B07L45P264 Your cups could be lidded water bottles or insulated mugs with lids.

For two people, the 16' side dinette would be a good solution! I "downsized" from that to a 13' w/bunks, and can see why this would be an issue - especially if they have the front bath 13'.

Unless they use two small "cafe chairs" and a tiny table...(And If they are small people with short legs) I don't see how they could dine together inside. Unless they have breakfast in bed, with bed tray and eat in shifts.
