I would like to put aluminum wheels on our 17' Bigfoot. It has original steel wheels with 1/2" x 20 lug bolts. I need 1/2" x 20 bulged hex conical seat lug bolts. Does anyone know of a mail order source for those?

Tom-- local tire shop (or wrecking yard) should be able to help you. Same as 1/2 ton Ford. Larry

I think its lug nuts you are looking for and all auto parts stores should stock them,

My Bigfoot hubs have threaded holes (not studs) and the wheels are attached with bolts. Like this link, but 14" with 5 holes.

Ahhh--- just like the Compact was-- sorry. OK Get some Grade 8 bolts of the proper length, screw them in the hubs from the back, and viola, you have studs now! That's all wheel studs are is grade 8 bolts with serrated should that have to be pressed in. Then if you are worried about them unscrewing, tack them in with a welder. That's what I did on the Compact. Then you can use normal lugnuts, and besides it's easier to put the wheels on. Larry

Thanks for all the ideas. Looks like Brian BP has my best answer. He emailed about Dexter part # K71-407-00 that is a set of wheel studs that are threaded at both ends. These will allow me to throw away the lug bolts and use lug nuts.
