Maxxair fan

I was wondering of anyone has had any issues with a manual maxxair fan?. The fan on my 2019 escape will not operate and the green light denoting auto mode stays on. Any insight to solving the problem would be appreciated. I currently have the power off until we leave for our next trip.

I had a problem with my Max fan and got in touch with the company and they sent me a new module and switch and that fixed the problem.

Well today after rewiring my battery to inverter I turned the power back on. I then tried the maxxfan and it worked. Perhaps it was ok after moisture dried. Thanks for tge suggestions.

If you believe moisture was the issue, then I would remove the control board and apply a number of coats of conformal coating. We had a simular problem when camping in Florida last winter. After drying the board with a hair dryer and coating the control board with ~5 coats, problem was solved.

Since it worked after power was removed and then restored, it appears to be that the microcontroller had to be reset (and removing power did that). If it happens again I recommend you place a 12V boost/buck converter in the MaxFax's feed circuit. Reason is that some MaxFans will malfunction with this condition if their input voltage rises above 15 or so volts. Since some solar controllers (mine included) will temporarily output this higher voltage as part of their charging profile, the buck/boost converter is needed to keep the MaxFan "happy."
