No, there is no turntable. It really isn't intended for typical nuker cooking. It's a glorified heater upper is all. Soups, small prepared meals, popcorn, stuff like that. I think a fully popped bag of popcorn is about the biggest thing you could fit in it.

I haven't tried popcorn in it yet, I am still scratching my head over the metal "Cooking Rack".

Gina, it's really not all that uncommon for new(er) microwaves to make use of metal. I've had 3-4 microwaves over the past 20 years and all but one had some sort of metal rack. In fact, I have a microwave cookbook that shows how to use aluminum foil over drumstick (legs) to keep them from overcooking.

Overall it sounds like a handy little machine Gina. I agree with some earlier sentiments as well, that I'm surprised the micro manufacturers don't make more of the small models like this. I know the little Sharp HalfPint was perfect for RV use as well as dorms and such, as is this little guy. I wonder if some kind of legal thing occurred, one blew up on somebody or something...? Who knows... Well keep us up to date on how it works for you, Gina & other new owners!

I found a little Microwave for the Scamp at Home Depot of all places?

It is Stainless Steel and is a G.E. with a turntable. It looks to be about twice the size of this tiny one but is still very small.
It was around $50.00 and I was amazed at how nice it is for the size and price.

If it ever stops storming here I will get a few pics of it.

Pico wave, Byron. The holes in the door let you pico inside while cooking.

I thought it was pico de gallo (peek at the galley). No wait a minute I think that is a salsa.
