Mounting a flat screen tv in a Burro

We have a rehab'd '83 13 ft. Burro and would like to mount a 19" flat screen tv on an articulating arm mount. The only place I can see to mount it is on the front exterior wall over the bunk beds but I don't think the fiberglass shell will support it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

How about mounting it from the end of the cabinets over the sink or the closet? Use some wood backing and it should work ok.

The hubby is about to attempt the same thing on our Uhaul. Maybe if it works, he will post how he does it.

pics! just use a rack made for a wall and put plywood behind the fiberglass and in front and sandwich it together to take the strain off the holes where the bolts go through. and allways take it off when you travel. so like this mount[plywood]fiberglass wall[plywood] and run the bolts all the way through. plus a 19 flat screen is light. i agree with putting it on the closet or above the sink. if you have a problem you wont be worried about the elements getting in while you fix it.

I bet he's wondering how to get to the back of the screws (bolts) to get the nuts on though. That would be the challenge, I would think, on a Burro (at least on the wall by the bench -- the closet or galley cupboard wall you could reach the backside on).

Hi: All... Those 19" flat screen TV's weigh 10-14 lbs. and the pull on the arm would be a lot!!! Try holding a 10lb. bag of flour up with your arm extended out!!! Lots of reinforcing req'd. Our local RV. dealer charges up to $500. to add reinforcing and a swing arm for a flat screen TV.

That was my intent to mount it on the end of the cabinets but the projection of the range hood blocks the view. Hanging it on the side of the closet is possible but it makes it hard to view when laying in the bed. The only other option I can think of is using a ceiling mount with a couple stainless steel plates or.....just set it on the top bunk as we did with the crt unit unless I can find a longer articulating arm that would project past the range hood.
