Need some help, please Canadian Bank Cards at US Gas Sations

I cannot seem to be able to locate any threads/posts relating to Canadians using bank/debit cards at American gas stations.
I/we are looking especially for the 'numbers' to enter where it (sometimes) asks for Zip Code. Can anyone offer any assistance please??

A couple tips for future reference:

First, use the google search in the search pulldown. The FGRV forum search isn't too good.

Second is give your post a meaningful title. That helps in 2 ways. The main one is that similar threads come up at the bottom of the page based on those keywords. Second is some people never get past the thread titles.
