New Door Lock Or Key???

I just purchased a 87 13`lil bigfoot. The door lock was taken out as he did not have a key and was worried the kids would lock themselves in.

He gave me the lock. Can I get a key made for it or do I need to buy a totally new lock? If so which one is recommended without breaking the bank...

Hi there, you should be able to get a key cut as they are a basic lock, a certified locksmith should be able to get you right without breaking the bank.

I had same issue a few years ago w/ a scamp
Take it to a locksmith ( don’t have them come to you... much less expensive)... a regular hardware store will not work unless they have a locksmith
