Hi, in Nov. we found a 20' 1990
Bigfoot 5th. wheel. Wanting a small
fiberglass tow to replace our stick built,we bought it.
At first entrance it smelled of mildew. It had been sitting in a field 2 - 3 yrs., so thought if we stripped all the carpet out that would take care of the problem. Wrong! Kept going (removing much) and found a very "mushy" plywood rear left floor. Also found almost rusted through
awning bolts(top left). Another leak! Possible badly sealed rear wintow too! The project is now a full restoration!
Some questions;
1 Condensation - Is this a major problem with these units and with single payne
windows? Any solutions? Has anyone replaced the single with dual payne
windows? Any source? Any sorce for torque (parcial roll out)
windows?
2 Airconditioner - Ours is very loud. Any brands that are quiet and work well?
3 The walls and ceilings have the original covering, vinyl? Has anyone repapered over it or painted it? Your experience would be helpful.
I'm sure I'll encounter more problems and will need more help. Any replys are much appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry
