I'd like to ask another question about awnings. I have an awning that I want to purchase and the BAG is 7'4" and my Awning rail is 7'. ie. the awning rail is shorter then the awning bag. The bag would hang out 2" on each side. Who out there has this problem as well, and has it been an issue for you when traveling? Did it tear at the entry point into the rail?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike, thats EGGactly as mine is. I positioned the bag so the overhang is equal on both ends of the rail and drilled a small hole the higher lip of the rail (do this on both front n back ends) and screw in an appropriate sized (preferably stainless) screw after the bag is inserted in the track This is tightened just enough to hold the bag in place and should/might cut a small hole through the fabric of the bag and into the small plastic rod embedded in the bag. This may sound confusing, but it works for me...

How much does your awning hange out on each end?
And have you had any problems with it ripping?

The bag on my Burro hangs out about 2" on each side. It's been ok since 1981 I guess.

IS THIS A LOADED QUESTION ???
Mine sticks out a little longer than 2 inches, maybe as much as 3 and 1/2 each end and NO we have never had any issues with bag ripping.

OK, I'm back!
I have finally decided on an awning. Thanks to everyone who helped with feedback.
I have decided on the (drum roll please) http://www.interwestsports.com/bag%20awnings.html
The 7'x7' Classic, The manufacture said they would make a custom black and Grey one for me so it matches my Boler.
It also comes with an opional screen room, or add-a-room. which I have not ordered. (Yet)
$198 out the door
Should hang out of my awning rail about 1-2 inches on each side.
Mike

Mike,
Any pictures of your awning installed yet? Thinking of ordering one from there, did you have any problems or concerns?

Hi Lenna,
Our Awning from interwest Sports came on Friday. It fits our 1981 Boler 13' perfectly. It is very light ,weight only about fifteen pounds ,and is very easy to set up and store. We had no problems with ordering or shipping. It arrived less than two weeks after ordering. We asked them to ship it to us USPS as we had heard horror stories of costs added by ups or fed X,when shipping to Canada. The only thing we had to pay upon delivery was $10.00 for GST and PST...We are very pleased with the awing and we are now going to order the screen house to attach to it.

I hope you'll post some comments about the screen room. Our Scamp is not quite tall enough to work with most of the screen rooms I've found so far. They all seem to be cut for a taller trailer. Maybe someday I'll change the axle and end up with a taller trailer, but I like the fact that I can squeeze it under the garage door at the present height (7' with the vent cover removed).
Thanks,
Parker
