On/Off Switch Bigfoot

Hi, we are new owners of a 1990 Bigfoot. There is an on/off switch located on the counter by the dinette and we have no idea what it is for. Would someone be able to tell me what that is for?

I think you will find that it turns the front outside light on and off.

On my 1989 Bigfoot 19, it turns on both the outside porch light and the front over-the-tongue light.

It's funny how often this comes up.

I don't like the location of that switch. Too easy to click on by mistake by setting something down on that counter. If it's daytime, you may not notice it's on for hours. Good reason to put an LED bulb in there.

I got caught in a nasty hail storm last Sunday, and made it out fairly unscathed. But the one thing that did get broken is both that cover and fixture for the propane tank/battery light.

The light is not working so that explains my confusion. I would like to change the bulb to LED, but how do you get the cover off without breaking it?

If you are referring to the outside light cover, it should have two tabs on the top edge and one tab in the lower edge. Very gently (they get brittle with age), squeeze up on the bottom edge to free the tab from its slot. You may also push down gently from the top edge and free the two tabs. If one way doesn't work, try the other one. If it should break or crack, replacements are available and inexpensive online.
