Oven not working

Hi fibreglass RV family. I have a question about my Bigfoot 17 yr. 1986. My oven is not working but the stove is working perfectly. What is wrong for the oven maybe the switch or burner. Can you please help me if you have encountered any problems like this.....thx

Have you had the trailer for a while and the oven used to work, or is this a new trailer to you?

Can you get the pilot lit? What happens exactly? You try to light the pilot and it won't light, or the pilot lights but when you turn the oven on the oven burner won't light?

Pull off the oven temperature control knob. Under the valve stem there is a small standard screw. This screw controls the gas to the oven pilot. Turn the screw, replace knob and turn to pilot.
Have lighter in left hand, press in and hold in knob. Gas will light in several seconds, hold knob in until thermocouple will keep pilot lite by itself. Now turn temperature knob to desired temperature, burner will light in about 10 seconds.

Make sure you turn the screw off when done. If you don’t want to keep pilot lite.
If screw in left turned on it will allow gas to keep coming out. And you will think you have a gas leak.

Ovens have a thermocouple which is a common failure point.

Great info Civilguy
After we replaced our original three burner 1978 stove with a 4 burner unit out of a 1977 boler of same model both had a 22" wide units "it slipped right in" we then had a gas problem at stove and had noticed the fridge was not getting as cold, had turned it to colder setting did not think they were related.
Our new 42 year old oven had a problem. Needed replacement regulator outside and adjustment of regulator gas pressure in the new old stove.
Called a mobile trailer gas repair specialist and he fixed it in our driveway in minutes. He was old school and knew what to expect in our vintage trailer. We only have a pilot light for the oven, stove had bigger flame at all settings and fridge worked better as well after he adjusted flow of both outside regulator and stove regulator.

bolers came with a 22" wide stove top or oven that is only 16" deep; newer stoves are usually narrower and deeper. bolers wheel wells are in the way for the depth of newer ovens and the narrower width make hole to wide. It took many years to find an original boler unit of same size. A boler unit being scrapped out was our gain.
