Hi Im new and looking at buying a run down 17' 78
boler that a coworker of mine has. Its in rough shape appearance wise its been sitting for 7 years so i don't know the condition of the
fridge, water heater,
furnace etc. what has me a little concerned is I've lifted some of the carpet and in one section under the kitchen (mid cabin) it is fibreglass and under the bunk end its plywood. now at this point I'm guessing that the fibreglass section is just skinned plywood? when i crawled/shimmied under the trailer its got plywood over the frame rails for what looks like the whole trailer. Is this normal? As it has been sitting for so long and the top bunk has fallen (rivets let go) it has a few holes from the rivets now in the fibreglass walls. I'm worried how much potential rot there might be. I consider myself to be somewhat handy being a millwright(Industrial Mechanic) and have done some fibreglassing as well. Plywood floors in these how big of a job is that to gut/repair? Worth it? Any info anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Adam
