I bought the Mobicool
propane cooler from Canadian tire.
First trip out the tongue on the trailer broke, so we turned around. With that it was great to be able to throw the cooler in the car, run it from 12 volt and our food was fine.
Second trip out we got to camp, switched it to
propane and it will not cool. Still working to sort this issue out.
I did put a co2 sensor in the trailer. While trouble shooting the trailer I left it burning in the middle of the floor with only the roof vent open a crack for a few hours and the alarm never went off.
Once install I have trouble seeing if the burner is lit at the bottom right, so I pull it out. So I would make sure you can pull it out, or can get access to the back from the outside. The dial on ours was also at the back, so access to that was also tough if you seal the heat and burner off from the trailer.
It does throw heat off the top, on warm days I used a computer fan to move more air which worked fine. The back stays cool, just above got hot.
My conclusion is it will work, but is more work to install and the controls and
lighting require access.
I plan to work to see if I can get the cooler I have working (as Canadian tire has a no return once opened policy on this). If not I will use a cooler for the rest of the summer, stop shopping at Canadian Tire (not the first issue with their return policy) and decide between a real
fridge and the 3 way cooler at Costco, with a real
fridge currently more likely.
