Propane Tank Bracket

My 76 Trillium propane tank tongue mount has the then standard "J" bolt and bracket system that latches onto the collar of the gas bottle. I need new bolts. I can probably buy or make the J bolts but does anyone know if this system is still legal? Or must I buy the 80 or 90 dollar frame and collar version?

Coleman sell this model yet, it is probably available at Canadian Tire
