I have not long ago spashed out on a nice tidy Quanum5. I am have trouble with the heating system. It is the Hydra flame model fa7920 ps. I am asuming the unit should fire up when the pilot mode is changed to the on position, at the moment it appears to remain in the pilot mode,in spite of turning the knob to the on position resulting in a pathetic heat coming from the unit.
Is there any one out there knows anything about this prob, I would be chuffed to get any help.
As far as I know the QUa I have is the only one in NZ. It sure draws some attention.
Regards to all

Les...
Not sure of your exact model but most have a thermocoupler just above the pilot light that the pilot light heats up and when it gets hot enough it tells the control valve "Hey i've got a pilot light now i can turn on the furnace" maybe the thermocoupler is not over the pilot light or went bad?? If not i would suspect the main controller at that point.....this is just a free test you can do yourself before taking it to a pro.
Sure hope it's just the thermocoupler out of line or gone bad (they're not expensive)

There's a bunch of Hydra flame manuals in the document center, I don't see your specific model but maybe one of them is similar enough? Most have a troubleshooting guide in the back. That and Joe's (and others) help and hopefully you'll have heat!
