Remarrying shell to frame

Just finished some upgrades to my 13' boler frame. I am prepping to paint with por 15, then I'll be ready to remarry the shell to frame.
Originally there was butyl tape between the shell and frame, just wondering if that's the way to go moving forward, or has anyone tried any other solutions that have had good results? I have access to thin rubber, I could adhere to the frame to slightly cushion between the two, which I thought might work nice, but just wanted to get some input before I move forward
Looking forward to getting this egg back on the road!
Thanks!

I put some canopy tape between the frame and floor of my boler when I redid it. Not sure if it needed it (there was nothing there when I removed the frame) but it seemed like a good idea to cushion the fiberglass to steel area. So I guess I'm on the yes side
