removal of Trillium 1300 front awning frame to repaint corrugated panels

Hi! We have a 1973 1300 Trillium that is in the process of getting body work/paint done. The PO had the trailer painted teal green and black to match a hotrod he also owned.

The front window awning/frame has the original corrugated panels in it that were also painted teal green. Has anyone removed these corrugated panels (3 pcs) from the aluminum frame? How difficult was the process? Videos?

I don't have videos, but I did disassemble the front window awning on my Trillium 4500. The four 45 degree cut corners were originally joined by crimping/pinching an L shaped piece of metal at each corner. To disassemble, I pried apart each crimp joint and removed the L shaped piece of metal. I was not able to reuse the L shape piece of metal, nor re-crimp each corner. Instead, I cut four small pieces of sheet aluminum in the shape of a right triangle and inserted one in each corner, on the back of the panel. I secured each piece of sheet aluminum with a few sheet metal screws. That was a few years ago, and no problems.

On my 1300 front awning, there was just some little screws at the bottom. Take those out and remove the bottom aluminum cross piece.pull the panels down and out. They are held with pieces of plastic pushed in the gap. I painted the panels and slid them back in.

corrugated panels from front rockguard window have now been removed. There were a bunch of 12 point torx screws that were easily removed. Now to lightluy sand the panels with steel wool/prime and paint. Will steel wool and possibly lightly sand, with 200 grit sandpaper, the aluminum frame. Thanks for the help everyone!
