Thanks Bailey and Donna! In that I am "color challenged" I would be delighted to hear suggestions as to which of those might go best with the YELLOW interior of "Sunny"? I suspect that "Harvest" is the only one that might work, but it's not my favorite. I like "Lakelure" alot, but that certainly clashes... doesn't it? Hmmm... thanks for feedback!

You want my personal opinion...boy, are you in trouble! I like COLOR. Looking at the pics, I think Marble would look the best, but I'd sure want to see an actual piece of fabric before making that decision. Then, I'd make a couple of fluffy throw pillows picking up the cabinet color and a color or two out of the cushion fabric, then make new drapery with a different pattern picking up more color....then, new floor covering.....on and on

Hi: From my old art school days of the colour wheel...Blue and yellow are complimentary but you still have to be carefull...Our Boler cabinets are yellow ie. Daffodil yellow and I think the Alpine with the blue in it and a little yellow is my choice...I found some throw cushions in a dead ringer of the yellow cabinet colour so we already have them... Our origional int. colour is mostly brown with a hint of yellow and I wanted to go more blue any who Alf S. North shore of Lake Erie

You certainly need to ask Scamp to send you fabric samples of harvest and marble.
You have introduced blue with your Sports Afield pillow and the above cabinet? Looks good. That went well, so if the blue in marble is right and not grey it just might work. Maybe Scamp would send you swatches of all 4, but I would probably like ????? Good luck. The harvest would probably look good but I sure think it would not be my choice. I would want a lighter color.

Hey Al,
You ought to take a trip to MN. Spend a night or two at the Leech Lake campout June 18-22 and go to the Scamp factory to see first hand with a big cushion what would look best. Buy it there and save the shipping. Maybe your old foam needs replacing and you could get the cushions with new foam for the dinette. Then you wouldn't have to struggle getting your old foam into the new cover. Warning though, the new foam would be firm. You might prefer your old foam if it has softened up a bit. After looking at the pictures again I am wondering about the Alpine.

Al, this might help you visualize your options:
alpine
lakelure
marble
harvest
If I were you I'd stay away from the Harvest, I think it makes your lovely cabinets look a little overwhelming. I'm leaning toward the Alpine, I think it balances the cabinet color really nicely. Good luck!

Scamp has the covers for sure, but if considering replacing foam, which is probably needed if covers are bad, I think Scamp will sell foam and covers together.
I am not sure if one buys the back, the front, etc.. and they send them fully assembled or what. I do believe one can get a complete package.
One other thing can be done if others are contemplating a replacement. If there is a matress factory in some reasonable distance and the camper's lifestyle is to leave the rear dinette cushions down and made for a bed full time, then take the current cushions to a matress shop and they can make a custom fitted unit. I have seen one, done here is western part of TN. by a local factory.
Just one option to replacing covers. I leave my cushions down for a bed majority of time for I have a couch in front. Unless it is raining, I am outside majority of day and evening during a trip, sitting around a fire at night.

If you like Lakelure (and I do, too!), then go for it. As was said, pick up the colours of the cushions elsewhere, the blue or the red. If you like it all, it all "goes together."
For example, I have a handsome, tall, generous, funny, smart, hard-working, grumpy husband; a bratty funny friendly kind smart artistic son, a vintage tiny bungalow filled with paisley, barnwood and neighbourhood kids, so there was plenty of room for a grey striped stray tabby cat who cried to us from under our back porch just before Christmas! And nothing clashes.

Thanks,

Hello Alf
Justin at Scamp emailed me pictures of 4 fabric samples which I can forward to you if you like. They shipped UPS ground . In case you want to get a quote the package weighed 12 lbs.
Also I might add you can order with or without foam and the covers were good quality made locally and not imported. Bailey

Hello Bailey,
My husband and I are redoing our 13' Boler also. We are adding a new stove so are redoing the counter section right now. We are making a new counter top out of aircraft counter material. It is a durable wafer lightweight material that we will be putting laminate on. We are also going to laminate the table to match the countertop. Our cushions are not going to be the correct color for the new scheme so we will have the original ones available in the future and I would be willing to send them to you for just the shipping. They are in amazingly good condition and only one zipper needs to be repaired. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks Bailey, much appreciated, although we've actually decided to go custom - I'm going to use the existing covers as templates (by un-stitching them) and then making new ones from there. I have no idea how long it will take or how difficult it will be, but hey, it's winter in Calgary, and I have very little else do other than pine for spring and more Boler'ing !!!
Thanks again,

Hey Dave, I think I just found a link to your as-yet-unseen Boler coming from Winnipeg - did you post a link in the 'other' Boler forum to eBay? If so, you got a nice one there - it appears to not need anything major. If you want/need any help locally, give me a shout - as you know, we recently a reno ourselves last summer and we'd be happy to help.

Hi Folks - I just got off the phone with Justin at Scamp - a very nice and helpful fellow. I ordered a full set of replacement cushions for the Boler! We went with the Harvest fabric. (I certainly left that decision up to the wife!) They should be here by the end of the month - I'll post some pictures once I get them in. Bailey - can you offer some direction as to how you had to trim the banana cushion? Was it too wide or too long? I am really looking forward to the new cushions!! Thanks again to all of you for your help - couldn't have done it without you!! Alec
