Replacing big foot fridge

We are replacing the fridge in our 1985 Bigfoot but are beginning to feel that it will not fit in the door. Should we take out the front window or the door and it's casing in order to get the fridge into the trailer.

What size fridge? I have a Bigfoot with the smaller fridge, and it fit through my door.

24" by what? How deep? Possibly you can take off the door and put it in sideways. But I'm not sure...seems like with all the coils and everything on the back, it might be too wide that way, too.

When I put a new refrigerator in my 1994 17 CB I had to remove the screen door from the trailer and the doors from the refrigerator. I had to insert the refrigerator in diagonally and rotate it like a corkscrew to get it in. It barely fit but I got it in without a scratch. I also have a flip up section of countertop that I had to remove. Protecting the floor covering was also necessary.

RE: replacing fridge

I have had our original RM2500 out for the initial rebuild a few years ago, the old unit needed the door and frame removed to get it out.
Last fall the old RM2500 went out, and I replaced it with the RM2510. You will need to destroy the old mounting flange on your dead RM2400 to get it out, but the replacement RM2410 has slightly narrower mounting flanges, and I was able to get the new fridge in without any door disassembly, just needed to go in slightly diagonally with the mounting flange. (one side in, slide it over, then the other side) It went in fine that way with no removal of the door, screen, or frame.
(the RM2410 and RM2510 are the same width, just taller on the RM2510)
Hope this helps.
