Replacing roof vent

Hi I am Sophie, I recently acquired a 1978 Trillium 4500. Rooof vent needs replacing, but I noticed the holes do not line up with the new vent I got. I am not sure what to do and am looking for advice. Must I patch the existing holes with new fiberglass before installing new one? Thanks in advance!

Can you drill holes in the new vent to make it work with the existing holes in the camper?

I think so, 2 over 8 would be close to the predrilled ones (like 1/4 inch), but it would save patching and redrilling! I think it is a great idea!!! Thanks Darwin

If you can get to the holes inside, have someone hold the vent on the roof and they you take a pen up through the holes and mark the new vent. Use Butal Tape to seal the vent and then use the same stuff on the unused holes in the vent.
