Trailer: UNIK
Posts: 7
i just got a UNIK-(think Boler knockoff) trailer 3 wks. ago. Since it is in rough shape I gutted it and found that it was missing some parts- the table & water tank aren't there, the cooler didn't have a door on it, the light bar on the back didn't work so I discarded it. I was wondering if these trailers are worth any money if i fix it my way- put new lights on it, rig up some sort of different water system and incorporate a new minifridge.

Hi: As F. Sinatra said " I did it my WAY". Most of the fun is in personalizing your trailer. Our local R.V. Dealer... Gammons R.V. is a specialist in R.V. appliances. Google them for lots of info. Where in S.W. Ontario are you??? Will you get to Bolerama's "Fiberglass Fever" July 4-5-6 '08 at Emily P.P. in Omemee Ontario this summer???

I have modified 2 of the 4 FG units i have owned. They both sold without question. In fact the lady who bought my 17ft Boler was totally excited to get mine due to a major rebuild of big bunk beds. The only thing i would caution you against is using weird colors in your rebuild. As Alf says----thats half the fun. Good luck.

I don't suppose you kept the light bar, even if you took it off? It's the one feature that sets your trailer a part from the other egg-shaped 13 footers and personally I think it's cool.

At any rate, this topic has come up before, click this link: What's Old is New Again or Vice-a-Versa, Keeping it Original?

Whatever you choose to do, it will be the right decision for you

I would agree with Ches. I had trouble selling my Compact Jr. because it was painted Charcoal Gray (by the Previous Owner). While I didn't care, it was a HUGE issue with everyone who looked at it. They all wanted it to be White, at least on the top half...
