Road warning

We are visiting family in New Hampshire and made the mistake of coming in on SR 119 (Richmond to Fitzwilliam) this trip. Beat the heck out of our new Escape TA. We slowed down as much as we could (speed limit 45) without holding up traffic and it made no difference. The bathroom door came open and swung hard enough to bend the hinges. I had to shim the jamb so the latch would catch. And the table pedestal rocked so much that the screws are pulling out of the floor.

I do not like to complain about things I cannot fix, but if your GPS tries to send you this way I recommend you reroute your trip.

NH-112 west of North Woodstock was also horrible this summer. East of Lincoln, NH, aka Kankamagus Highway it was good.

On the other hand, US-2 from northern NH to Maine, all the way to I95, was paved this summer and it *very* nice.

By the way my pedestal table always goes down for travel, as per my check-list.

We've never lost the table and have driven some really long rough roads. I wonder if it may be due to a lighter table, since we eliminated the press board, have a shorter table, a folding table that's half the length and the fact the leg is closer to the rear wall, center in the half table.
