Okay...I feel like we made a bit of progress this weekend. We got the roof vent up!! Now...a question for those who have been here before... the trim is made for a stick built, and is appx 2" thick. Do I saw off the flange? (The extra thickness?) Also, we got the back window in... however, the only thing that holds the plexiglass in is the rubber gasket/trim. Do we need to use adhesive? It is snug...but I can picture it blowing out as we drive down the road. However...it would be relatively easy to get out if we need an escape hatch...

If you check the web site and look up the fan trim, it says you can score it and break it (fantastic fan anyway)

This was just an inexpensive roof vent. The previous one was ripped off.

I had the same problem with my burro. I just installed a plain one, w/out a fan, and had to put a "frame" around it. It actually worked out pretty good as the frame was another thing that the screws were able to grab. I then covered the wood with the same carpet I had to hand in the middle.

So did you trim it out with wood, or did you modify the plastic interior frame that came with it?
